   What Willy said is spot on. The HSS copy is the best but the amp is what matters. You need to set the gain all the way up and the Master Volume all the way down to get a good crunchy blues sound. You can adjust the gain and Master accordingly. The less gain, the leaner the sound.

   Any stratocaster will give you a good blues tone and a quality amplifier will enhance that sound. For distortion get an effects pedal. I own two stratocasters. One made in Japan and one made in USA. The USA one was more expensive but both sound really good as you would expect a Fender to do so.

   at that price you’ll only find a cheap Asian copy of a Fender Stratocaster, but what your looking for will be a HSS copy with the humbucker at the bridge for the growl and distortion your looking for
