Im looking for some good old blues albums. I know next to nothing about blues, just give me the basics please.

Etta James Baby what ya want me to do? Is one song I like. Go to emusic and listen and buy what you like. For modern Coco Montoya, Indigenous, Walter Trout Joe Banamassa. I didn’t know I liked the blues until I went to a festival. Now I go there every year. Santa Cruz Blues festival. This is where Rock and Roll came from.

    heres some suggestions. i work in a music store and i love the blues! Might I suggest that if you want to get into the blues, you should check out Martin Scorsese’s blues documentaries…also watch the FIRST Blues brothers, its a classic cult classic and I love the soundtrack even tho its kinda cheesy! I gues if you were to get some albums check to see if they have the following tracks!!!! =)

    Old? Robert Johnson, Professor Long Hair, Pine Top Perkins, etc..Basic or great standards, BB King, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray. Find a good music store (albums to CD’s) and go to the blues section.There is allot to choose from so ask an employee for help if you need it. Don’t forget the girl’s, Dinah Washington, Esther Phillips, Gladys Knight, Big Maybelle, Peggy Lee etc.. Good luck and have fun!
