How Old Do You Have To Be To Get Into The “house Of Blues” In Dallas, Tx? Youth Sounds Emerge From The Gulf
Jul 132010

I am trying to shoot a short film and want the song that I score it to, be unsettling and slightly eerie. Either opera or classical. Think Match Point or Benjamin Button. Any suggestions?

You’ve had some good obvious suggestions already. Here are a few not so well known (to non-opera fans) ones:
    - Wolfglen scene from Von Weber’s ‘Der Freischuetz’ ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FojsiGXZY… )
    - Sleepwalking Scene from Verdi’s Macbeth ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qK0fBaH_g… )
    - Invocation from Meyerbeer’s Robert le diable ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMLr7kXRC… )
    - ‘Allein!’ from Richard Strauss’ Elektra ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4kP_yIsJU… )
    - Commandatore scene from Mozart’s Don Giovanni ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ue72gvJvp… )
    - Act I finale from Korngold’s Die tote Stadt ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wxo7_zGvl… )

1.Bach – Toccata and Fugue in d minor
2.Grieg – In the Hall of the Mountain King
    3.Brahms – Piano Quintet in g minor
4.Bartok – Music for Strings, Percussion, and Celesta
    5.Mozart – Requiem “Dies Irae”
These may be too anthemish for what you were really wanting, but they are worth a try.
