   I believe that it would depend on what area the bed was located in. Warm reds and oranges would be great if you wanted to communicate optimism, and up-beat attitude to the patient. If you were looking for a patient to have some rest and recovery, I’d vote for the blues and greens. When we all want to vacation, most people pick beaches, hence the blues and greens.

   Some patients don’t need calming–others do.
   I’d stick with neutrals; beige, pastels, anything non-intrusive.

   cool blues and greens because they are cool and calming
