“Classical car insurance” is coverage for a car that isn’t being used as a daily driver. It’s a policy that covers your car driving it to and from car shows and parades.

Classic car insurance is cheaper but comes with restrictions. Most will only let you drive from 1,000 to 5,000 miles per year and some have trip restrictions, such as only being allowed to drive to car shows or historic events. Good luck with your purchase!

Classical refers to Music. An older collectible car is considered a Classic.
Your State defines what years are considered a Classic, and sometimes it also specifies the Make and Model. If your car is not considered a Classic in your State you could not get a Classic Insurance Policy.
A Classic Insurance Policy has retrictions as to use, mileage and other things. Mainly that it is only driven in Parades, to Car Shows or in Classic Car Rallys. You cannot get Classic Car Insurance and drive it everyday.

    Hello
Classic car insurance is normally cheaper because you are restricted to say 5,000 Miles a year.
If you mean for normal everyday use (Typically 10, to 12, 000 Miles Per Year then remember that the write off value of your car is Incorporated when working out what your insurance will cost you. The more valuable the car the more it will cost you for the insurance.

You can compare how the insurance quotes would change, for example here – autoinsurance.noneto.com

  8. David says:

Since a Classic Car is a special car, not being used daily, it’s best to buy Classic car insurance for it. Companies like Hagerty and The Hartford have special policies for Classic and antique cars.
With a special policy you have the option of insuring your car for a “stated value” or in some cases even an “agreed value”.
