Well, romantic ballets usually have romantic tutus in them somewhere (the ankle length ones), and they usually have a ballet blanc in the 2nd act (where the corps is using white romantic tutus). There is also usually a death in it, and a longing for something. Usually it is a supernatural longing or something that would not come true.
    some romantic ballets are….
    Giselle (2nd act willis)
    La Sylphide (2nd act Sylphs)
    Classical Ballets…
    Sleeping Beauty (tutus)
    Nutcracker (tutus)
Coppelia (in answer to your question)
~And one debated is Don Quixote, because although there is a ballet
blanc in the dream sequence, it is considered a classical ballet.

This ballet premiered in 1870 as a sentimental comic ballet.
It is listed as one of the great romantic ballets of all time.
Classical ballet is best known for its unique features and techniques, such as pointe work, turn-out of the legs, and high extensions; its graceful, flowing, precise movements; and its ethereal qualities.
A major element of Romantic ballet was a fascination with the supernatural. The plots of many ballets were dominated by spirit women—sylphs, wilis, and ghosts—who enslaved the hearts and senses of mortal men and made it impossible for them to live happily in the real world
