I try to recycle everything but sometimes the labels on cans you buy at the store don’t tell what type of metal it’s made out of. How do I tell what metal these cans are made from? I don’t just want to throw them all in the “steel” bin. Can someone help me with this?

When the Metal zinc is mixed with Sufuric acid why does no noticeable changes occur?
When Copper is mixed with Hydrocholoric acid, Nitric acid, and sulfuric acid out of all there none of the mixtures showed a noticeable change why is that?

I want to use the main metal from an aluminum can, but it just curls into the shape of the can. How can I straighten out the metal?
