I’ve got a small electric buggy that contains a metal detector, to detect IEDs (improvised explosive devices). When the metal detector detects something underground, I want it to send a signal back to the receiver in the remote control (that controls the buggy). So, I want the remote control to make a sound from the speakers if something is detected.
How do you do this?

I have to put an ethernet card into my 10 yr old computer. I have the back cover off the computer, but I need to “punch out” the metal slot so the metal part of the ethernet card is sticking out. I see no screws there, so how do I get the metal slot out of the back cover? Am I making any sense?
