I am looking to buy a 5 string bass for cheap. I am looking at the Squier Affinity Jazz Bass V. But I am hoping to get one with a high C string as apposed to a low B. Which does the Squier have?
I have a fender active deluxe jazz bass and i recently took the strings off cause the bridge looked messed up. im taking it up to guitar center today for them to restring it. So my question is, what bass strings would be right for me? I have a jazz bass and i play mostly 70’s classic rock and slap funk.
Don’t get me wrong I’ve been listening to this music for many years, but I am not too big fan on categorizing music… Even so today I wondered what is the difference. All the 3 sub-styles sound more ambient and chill-out that let’s say Darkstep . Jazz and bass seems to use more ‘real’ instruments in the tracks but that can be said for any of the other 2 styles… So what is your opinion?
he has a white beard i think (not sure) that he has sailor in his artist name. it is a type of electric blues as well . i know this is a bit vague but im very annoyed that i cannot think of him
I’m looking towards like John Pattitucci type kind of feel for my bass. I think a lighter tension string would be more ideal for me, but i dont know any brands or anything like that for upright strings
I want to play bass, I have been playing guitar for a bout 2 years, but I have no experience with bass. I seem to pick up on instruments pretty fast. Will I be able to if I get lessons over the summer?
Rock is my favorite genre of music and then electronic and techno. Are there solo bassists? Just wondering cause I’m thinking about trying some solo stuff someday.
