Hi, I am 19 and have a major in computers and science. As much as I want to go for a music degree, people are always criticizing me, and telling me that musicians are always poor, and never make enough money. But I am really good. I grew up with music, took lessons while i was in middle school, and played at many recitals. What should I do? Can someone help me out? Best answer for 10 points.
what types of music would a female music major, studying music within a state college music program be interested in? She’s around 21 years old. What is the curriculum like? and if she’s that serious about music, would she be into classical, or just modern music? I need to figure this out so I will know what types of concerts she may be interested in (can’t ask her because it’s a surprise). Thanks
So I know I want to be involved with music somehow for a living and want to go to school for it, but I’m not sure what. The number one thing I wanna do is play, but I’m particularly interested in music performance because every college in my area (NC) only teach classical or jazz styles (I’m more into contemporary). But there’s music education, technology, industry, therapy, all good options and I’m not sure what to pick. What is the best and most practical feild study?
I am nervous but excited at the same time. Should I introduce myself to the audience (although I don’t think anyone will be listening) or should I just play music and introduce each selection? If you have any favorite jazz radio programs, what is it about those programs that makes you enjoy them? Thanks!
