I’m really just looking to build my vocabulary of music theory. I figure if I start getting a whole lot of progressions I can start linking chords together in fresh ways. I’m also working on building on my arpeggio shapes. I know all the basic major, minor, maj7, m7, dominant 7, half-diminished 7 and so on, but I need to really build on this stuff to get music theory out of my head and into my hands.
I need to find something relatively light, strong, easy to machine, and cheap. A product I am designing may either require a few metal bars and gears, or some heavy duty springs that would need to withstand strain from the weight of a human. I am not too good with physics, and haven’t taken many specific courses in metallurgy, but I have a manufacturing education and background.
