Just curious to know, all those film scores, and soundtracks that we hear these days from new Age Pianists and Film Scores. Can they be considered as Mainstream and commercial music?
And also what is the difference between the two? Mainstream and commercial Music?

while I know this is subjective, is there any overall consensus on who is the best living sax artist ?
I ask this because I saw a list of the 100 greatest blues songs and not one of his was on there.
I have an audition coming up requiring a monologue from a classical play and I was considering Fantine’s death monologue. But the speech has to be from a classical play. Would Les Miserables fall under that catagory? The play not the book.
What do you think are the top 10 classical music hits of all times?

I mean whenever you hear the people on ESPN talk about the best teams in the league they always talk about the Spurs, Suns, Mavs, Lakers, Pistons, and Celtics. What do the Jazz need to do to get mentioned in that same breath? How could they improve?
