I received a classical nylon-stringed guitar for Christmas a few years ago and I have difficulty playing it. My hands are kind of small (I will be 17 in three days) and that makes it hard to play. Would it be in my best interest to look into a steel stringed acoustic guitar? I heard that the neck/fretboard is not as wide as the classical guitar, so would that help me at all?
Thanks.
I’m trying to get into other types of music, as long as it has a guitar. Can anyone recommend a group/band that has some nice sounding guitar (preferably lead guitar)?
I recently got into playing classical music, like bach, fernando sor, and mozart, on the guitar. I have already learned songs like air on g string, toccata and fugue, and sor’s study in d. I play both acoustic and electric. Any suggestions?
I am using a dynamic mic to record classical guitar, If I buy a condenser mic will I notice any difference? I have a dynamic mic into an M-Audio interface. I am thinking of a condenser mic and phantom power. Just wondering if it is worth spending the money? Tried various transducers etc but not happy with them.
