How was early jazz a reflection of and response to theh society from which it originated?
The classical liberalism of America’s founding fathers should not be confused with modern liberalism.
Young “liberals” really need to understand the difference.

I want to find a university where I can study jazz, street and modern dance and the closer to Surrey it is the better.
Anything besides true “classical” pieces.
Someone over in Polls & Surveys asked “Poll: Have you ever watched an opera live or on tape? Did you enjoy it?” I read the answers given with a great deal of interest. One thing I found particularly interesting was that so many people equate musical theatre, especially “Phantom of the Opera? which is a musical taking place in an opera house, with classical opera. So what is the difference? Will musical theatre be considered 20th and 21st century operas by the people of the future?
Lately, I’ve been listening to mainly 1300-1800 style music (Baroque, Renaissance, Classical, etc.), and I want to listen to some modern at the moment.
Any classical will do fine, I prefer orchestra pieces, and often more darkly sad or beautiful pieces.
Any recommendations?
I am doing a project for a humanities class and have to compare these two styles. Specifically in the arts in where I am looking.
Also I need to provide examples of the classical style and it’s legacy in our culture.
