I don’t know much about fake books since I don’t play any instruments, but I’m part of a 16 person premier jazz choir at my school starting in August. Before school starts up, our conductor is holding a retreat for all members from August 11-13, and he wants all of us to have at least 3 solos of jazz standards ready to be presented during the retreat. He recommended buying a fake book of jazz standards the last time the whole group was together. Anyone have any good suggestions?
So, if you had to pick a couple albums to play someone who didn’t listen to jazz or blues, to make them start, what would they be? I’m trying to expand my music library to some other genres.
I’m not familiar with classical music at all, but I do enjoy it when I find a piece I like.
two of my favorites are
Claire De Lune
and Moonlight Sonata
I like how relaxing they both are
and how beautiful and moving claire de lune is
any recommendations ?
thanks!
I am looking for an album of jazz that has no lyrics but only instruments, something quiet and relaxing that i can listen to while i am studying.
Thanks.
I love classical music, especially Yiruma – he’s one of my favorites. Vanessa Mae, Beethoven, Bach, Debussy, etc. Do you have any other people who you think I would like?
I love piano music. Classical and light classical are my favorites, but if you know of ANY piano artist that i could add to my music, that would be amazing!
Thanks!
I would like to try my hand at producing some of my own music by tweaking an instrumental track or beat, adding/removing additional beats and/or sound effects, adding my voice track and more… I would like to be able to create my own music tracks before going to a proper music producer. I’m sure there is software out there that does this. Do you know of any? Which one works best? Is there a free version to try?
I am a teen who has just gotten into classical and I was wandering if anyone here is able to recommend me some classical music that is both happy and sad? I like Vivaldi’s The four seasons so maybe something along thise lines. I also like Mozart, and Bach.
Thank you for your answers.
I don’t have much money and the three guitars in my budget range are the mexican strat, and epiphone les paul and a epiphone casino.
Which would you suggest?
