The person in question said this with utmost certainty. Furthermore, I questioned said person on whether or not she thought her statement was rational, and she said “well, of course it is rational. You like jazz so you must be hiding romantic feelings. Everyone says that. There’s nothing illogical about it.”
I’m just wondering whether I am being irrational myself in thinking her to be a complete ninny.
You know, that classical sounding music you hear on parodies and commercials and such. The theme that plays when it’s ‘love at first sight’, all corny and lame sounding. It’s all classical with no words, sounding like it came out of a Fantasia movie even. Does anyone know what I’m talking about and how to find music like that? I CANNOT find that theme!

I’ve been getting into classical music (used generically, not as period reference) lately and I’ve been told that it is sometimes best to start with the piano sonatas and move up to the string quarters, concertos, symphonies.
So, if you would, who do you think are the best keyboardists from the above period and their best works?
