Please be specific in style. Can I buy used shoes in a store?
They aren’t the same as street shoes and I’ve screwed myself over by ordering a lovely expensive pair online. Now I have to send them back for another sizing, but I want to make sure I get it right this time.
I am taking a jazz dance class, which I have never done in an actual studio with dress code. Black leotard, jazz pants, and jazz shoes are required…Do I wear socks?
Besides the obvious of wanting everyone to have the same shoe color is there any other reason? Thanks!

My 11 yr old daughter will be starting jazz classes. Where is a good place in the Chicago area (preferably south suburbs) to buy jazz shoes? Since this is her first time taking jazz classes I want to buy decent but not ridiculously expensive ones. Also, if you have any tips about which kind (leather v. canvas, split sole v. non-split) are good for a beginner, I would love to hear them.

I was going to get Capezio, many people at my center have them, but I was curious to see what others think.
(This is my first year in tap and jazz, but I have been taking other classes at my center for a few years now.)
What color shoes should I wear with a navy blue striped suit for court. I’m thinking of some Doc Martins black Gibson, but need some opinions on this. If you know of any good brands and good prices, that would be helpful. Also, I would like opinions on what color tie or designs will be appropriate to wear with the suit.
