Obviously sound is a huge part of the film industry, but how did people initially react and how did our society take it? How is the present media landscape related to or effected by the time when Al Jolson was first singing on screen?
I think it won the grammy because the instruments were very well mixed and very disquinshable. I think it’s about the girl missing her boyfriend… thanks for any help.
The answer was given in an episode of Rockwiz on SBS during the master blaster segment. The lyrics of the female singer were very progressive for the time referring to shaving certain areas..
How (long would it take /) hard would it be for a classical singer to sing a different genre ?
(Assuming similar difficulty level)
What i wish to find out is if the classical singers are really that versatile / not .
I’ve been classically trained, and now I’m trying out for a small jazz ensemble with the piece “Night and Day” by Cole Porter. How can I create a more jazzy sound? I sound almost operatic. For example the word “day”, how can I make that more defined and english sounding?
Like Blues singers sang about jail, being cheated on in a long term relationship, getting a divorce, having someone die, etc.
Emo people “sing” about a girl breaking up with them after 2 weeks of “dating” or about their parents not getting them the nicest phone or stupid stuff like that.
