do any guys know any jazz smooth easy songs is can learn on guitar? that i can pick up easy….example: somthing like eric johnson…i like him alot…i really need somthing flashy to show it off in a talent show for guitar.
I work hard and would love to be able to chill with a wine and listen to smooth jazz live without having to leave the country, surely there is some such place in Sydney?

Much to my dismany, Smooth jazz V98.7 has turned into a station for 16 year old girls. I know SJ is having trouble nationwide however Detroit was one of its stronger markets.
I sure do miss it, anyone think another station will pick the format up? Maybe 107.5 WGPR or will radio one pick it up on one of there signals? Possibly maybe Greater media will put it on 105.1fm?
All of the Jazz stations are gone. There aren’t many live bands playing around. It seems like smooth jazz is dying in NY, NJ, and Philly. Why is this so?
I was listening to Tortoise demos, and their jazzy stuff sounded like it could be smooth jazz. Besides commercial appeal and the fact that post-rock isn’t always jazz, or jazzy, is there any difference.
