I want to move away from playing blues all the time, and I need some new inspiration. I’m starting to get more into playing avant garde classical music more than anything – but I like to mix genres together also. Mostly I solo alone. I’m trying to compose long, interesting harmonica solos that stay interesting the entire duration of the solo.
Can you recommend any albums for me?
Rilo Kiley/Jenny Lewis, Bright Eyes, The National, Fleet Foxes, Neko Case.http://search.playlist.com/tracks/rilo%2…http://search.playlist.com/tracks/jenny%…http://search.playlist.com/tracks/bright…http://search.playlist.com/tracks/the%20…http://search.playlist.com/tracks/fleet%…http://search.playlist.com/tracks/neko%2…
Persoanlly I am not much of a clarinet player with jazz, more classical. I have been playing for 4 years and I am currently playing on 3 reeds (vandoren). I was just wondering on reed strengths for jazz clarinet. I hear 1 and 1and a half are traditional like with benny goodman and if so would Vandoren 1s be ok or another brand and what kind of mouthpiece?
Thanks for the help!!
