I am looking to buy a 5 string bass for cheap. I am looking at the Squier Affinity Jazz Bass V. But I am hoping to get one with a high C string as apposed to a low B. Which does the Squier have?
I’m looking towards like John Pattitucci type kind of feel for my bass. I think a lighter tension string would be more ideal for me, but i dont know any brands or anything like that for upright strings
I received a classical guitar from a friend, and knowing nothing about guitars, I went to the store and bought some acoustic guitar strings. I bought them because I didn’t know that there was a difference. I strung them on, and tuned them, but now I’m realizing I was probably supposed to buy nylon strings.
My question to you is, can I use these strings and not wreck the guitar? It sounds fine enough, and I’m just beginning so it doesn’t have to be perfect. Thanks!
I remember watching an excellent video of Jimi Hendrix playing a blues song on a 12-string acoustic guitar. Can anyone link me to the video? I need this for a report I’m doing on Jimi Hendrix.
I have a yamaha classical guitar. I play many gigs with it, so I invested in an ‘under the saddle’ Fischman pick-up. It does me fine, but I’d like more control and more ‘give’ I guess.
I heard of Acoustic Pre Amps, that act like a D.I., can anyone suggest these? Are they worth it?
Thanks
