I am 21 Egyptian male. I will finish my information technology and computing BSC before I go to the UK to study classical music.
I knew that it’s hard to get a leave for working there after I finish my studies. So, I guess it would be even harder to go through naturalisation and citizenship processes. But I think it is not impossible!
I know about the language, sound mind and periods outside of the UK requirements. And I know that I have to stay there for 5 years before I apply for the naturalisation programme. But do my three years of study count towards the 5 years or what? If they don’t count, how can I stay for 5 years?
Anyone can help? Thanks in advance.
I’m new to classical music. I do think I like it in general but so much of it seems to be really effeminate and tinkling and just, as a death metal fan, not really what I’m into. I also would like to listen to some faster pieces. A few songs I do like are Liszt’s Tarantella, Wagner’s Ride of the Valkyries (even though it’s too theatrical/meant for the stage) and Beethoven’s 7th Symphony. Also, I’d like some recommendations on particular songs of Mozart’s.
I’m just getting back into vinyl and would like a suggestion for my first great listening album to purchase. I enjoy all music and would love some jazz or classical recordings for my listening pleasure. My first purchase was the new U2 album on vinyl which is fine, but I’d like to start expanding the collection.
I have just started playing the piano again after a few years hiatus but I don’t know what to play. I want to be able to play classical music and some pops pieces for fun. Any suggestions?
PS I don’t mind a challenge but I also wouldn’t mind some suggestions of impressive sounding pieces that aren’t too difficult.
