ive got a bit of money to spend but im not sure which guitar would give me a good blues tone but also gives good distortion when i want it.
any sugesstions much appreciated

How do i improvise use the scale itself – I am currently learning the blues scales major and minor but modes are confusing me I know the names to them and that they are scales within scales but how would i really use them over chord progression …. like what chords are used in blues music ?
Are there any jazz songs with that tone? Can you add the lyrics to it to?
I have a 100 watt fender frontman and do not want to get rid of it because i do a lot of digital delays and effects which will sound bad with a tube amp. I’ve always loved the stingray tone but I don’t have the money to buy an actual stingray. If at all possible, what setting, strings, etc. should i use to get my jazz bass to sound like a stingray. I love the tone that flea gets out of his stingray.
I have a Fender Stratocaster with a humbucker, a Boss Blues Driver BD-2 pedal and a Line 6 Spider III 15. My goal is to get the best tone as far as classic rock/blues and I simply would like to know how you guys have gotten the best tone mainly with the BD-2 pedal? I understand its a matter of opinion, but I simply would like to consult those experienced.
I am looking for something around a 15 watt combo amp for about 300 to 400 dollars. I am looking to get something similar to the Stevie Ray Vaughan tone. I am looking at them and I’m just not sure which one to get. I’ve considered a used blues jr. but I just don’t know.
