I already dragged and dropped music files from my computer onto my micro sd card. Now that i put it in my phone though nothing happens. There is an icon that says the memory card is inside but I cant access it or anything. What do I do?

I have an iPod Mini, my wife has a shuffle, and we don’t want the same music on our iPods. However, iTunes won’t let me share iPods without wiping the contents and adding everything currently burned onto my PC. My friend can burn music from iTunes easily using a Mac, but I have a Windows, and I’ve tried before to burn an iTunes playlist to a disk, but it only lets you burn backup files. So how (if it’s possible) do I get the music to a disk? Thanks!
