I want to learn it because i want to show my mother the song
I am killing myself to find it. I am not a musician so it will be very hard for me to identify it by notes. All i know is the first bar, and thats it.
I talked to the director, and he said I could be in jazz, just not the whole year. He said that in the competitions, they had limitations on the instrumentation. Which I don’t get or believe, since that pretty much defies the definition of jazz. The website for the MN State High School League says that “standard instrumentation is encouraged.” What does that mean?
I like a lot of classical music, but as a laymen – I hardly know the first thing about it. I do know what I like, though: energetic, complex music, such as Bach’s Concerto for 2 violins, Vivace, Violin Concerto No. 2 in E, Allegro and Allegro Assai, for example. But, having no background in classical music and faced with a massive library of classical works to sample, I’m at a loss as to how I’d find similar music.
I’d appreciate any recommendations from those of you who actually know something about this kind of thing!

I’m not very versed in classical violin, I know about Bach and Mozart, but that’s all. Would anyone be able to give me the names of some good solo violinists? I’m looking for the classical stuff, but I’m also interested in the contemporary as well.

I play the cello and I have bunch of final fantasy/kingdom hearts music. Problem is that they’re for violin and not cello. Sadly there wasn’t really any game/anime music for cellists =(
And I wans’t sure but is it possible to read violin music for cello? Is it possible to play violin music for cello? How? How do you read treble clef for cello when you play the bass clef? Thanks!
I looked at the music store and all I could find was Irish, Bluegrass, Hornpipes, and classical pieces. I would like something Russian. Places to find them or suggestions would be nice. I’m looking for sheet music btw.
