We have a ‘metal’ chimeny flue with a wood stack built around it. A squirrel had gnawed through the sheathing of the wood wall where a couple of the wood siding boards got blown off during Herricane Katrina.
I recently bought a gas dryer. After hooking up the exaust, I read in the manual… “do not install flexible metal vent in enclosed walls, ceilings or floors.” Does this mean I cant run the flexible metal vent that I have directly through a wall, which is no more than 6 inches in length? OR does it mean not to run the vent from the bottom of the wall to the top?
The previous owner has a metal strip on our counter back splash that is glued to the tile. We want to keep the nice tile on the wall, but don’t know how to soften the glue behind the metal strip so that it can be removed safely without damaging the tile. Thank you for your professional answer.
