Are you free to write new lyrics for classical instrumental works by such dead composers like Mozart or Bach? I mean, since their copyright has expired, you can perform their works for free. But are you allowed to write new lyrics to transform some of their works into a new song?
Any tips on how to write a good opener. Something catchy. I tried and could not think of anything. Also, I like death, black and thrash metal so any would be good.
What if a composer writes a composition for an orchestra that has trumpets and flutes and they both have different music scales?
Since those instruments can’t be played in a chromatic scale, what would happen if the trumpet was in the key of Bb and the flute was in the key of G?
In this particular case, do you buy more instruments that are in different keys?
No obvious ones like Charlie Parker please.
Preferably ones that are still alive that have a mysace so I can message them.
Than you!
*alto sax is what I play.
NO KENNY G!
When you put a copper wire into a flame, how would you write an equation for that? Would it be considering heating copper, which would just be 2Cu + O2 –> 2CuO?
So would the rule of thumb for heating any metal in a flame be to add oxygen to the equation??
Thanks!
I’ve come up with some of my own songs for acoustic guitar, and I don’t know how to add music for a bass player. I want to jam some of my own songs with people, but how can I write stuff to include bass players?
For example, say I write an easy I IV V blues progression in G major. What tips should I take into account for the bass players out there?
I’ve got this killer riff for guitar and I want to put words to it. I basically just need a topic. I mean it’s pretty upbeat, so the usual “My baby got on a train and left for Memphis, oh, Lawd he’p me,” probably won’t work. I guess it could be about love though, but I’d like it to be more unique, such as Catch Hell Blues by the White Stripes.
