When You Think Of Jazz Band What Kind Of Images Come To Your Mind? How Is The House Of Blues Dallas?
Feb 262010

I’m writing something in a mining setting, and need some atmospheric music. I did a google search but couldn’t find much. Any suggestions?

One Response to “What Classical Piece Invokes The Feeling Of A Mine?”

  1. Doc Watson says:

‘Fingal’s Cave’ ( The Hebrides Overture) by Felix Mendelssohn. The cave was actually an abandoned mind that later became a notorious hide-out for lawbreakers.
Verdi’s ‘Le fosche notturne’, the Anvil Chorus from Il Trovatore. The scene takes place in a gypsy camp where most of the men have been working in the local mines.
(At this time I can’t think of others but may edit this later.)
