No one can say what will be right for you. There is a lot of variation, even within the same model so the best thing is to get out there and try a few until you find the one that feels right and sounds the way you want. You should find something good within your price range.

a nice squire stratocaster or telecaster would be ideal for blues but metal and rock maybe a epiphone LP 100 with really light strings could work for blues , rock , and metal but its up to you
