The first movement of Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony in C minor is probably the most famous piece.

Here are the most famous classical pieces :
    Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 – 1st movement.
    Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 – 3rd movement.
    Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 – 4th movement (Ode a la joie).
    Mozart – Symphony No. 40 – 1st movement.
Mozart – Ein Kline Nacht Music – 1st movement.
Mozart – Rondo a la Turca.
Strauss – The Blue Danube Waltz.
Rachmaninov – Prelude in C sharp minor Op. 3 No. 2.

The poster who said 3rd movement of Beethoven’s seventh must’ve meant the 2nd movement, and it’s pretty recognizable, but it’s not on the same level of fame as the 5th first movement.
I agree with Ride of the Valkeries, Ode to Joy, the 5th symphony, and I’ll add Fur Elise and Sugar Plum Fairies on to that. Handel’s Halleluiah from Messiah is there too, and the Cancan from Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld. I would also agree with William Tell. There are plenty that I’m sure would be lovely to revisit.
I found a youtube video that might be helpful. Its subjective so don’t take it as the final authority but…try this, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=amXBUlgDw…
