By claymation, I mean stop-motion animation using children’s modeling clay. Me and my friend Andrew are trying to make a movie like that, and from what I understand, stop-motion artists make a skeleton or something for the clay models using some kind of metal wire. What kind of wire do they use, and where can I get it?
Most people use aluminum craft wire, available at most arts or arts and crafts stores. It’s usually offered in two gauges, 1/16th and 1/8th of an inch in thickness.
