Definitely must try Bach’s Passion of St Matthew ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tuevG8Tgt… ), Mozart’s Great Mass ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zuFA3Dmgl… )… and the requiems by Mozart ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swkT07TP-… ), Faure ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFAx5Squ5… ), and Verdi ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3lzw4CiYF… ).
Not to mention the many ‘prayers’ in various operas… like ‘La virgine degli angeli’ from Verdi’s La forza del destino ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXwzmbbLF… ) or the preghiera from Donizetti’s Maria Stuarda ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYorKuutG… ), and many more.
