A classical guitar IS an acoustic guitar. Some characteristics are that it will take nylon or gut strings. The neck will be thick and the finger board wide compared to some folk instruments to facilitate intricate fingering.
classical guitar is always acoustic but it is mainly nylon sring, acoustic can be metal string aswell but not usually used for single notes.
