Which Jazz Albums Had The Most Impact On Experimental Rock Albums? What Are Some Reasons That The Byzantine Empire Manage To Survive When All The Other Classical Empires Did Not?
Feb 182010

I’ve been in Ft. Worth since January and I haven’t been too many places. When I would come to visit, we would always go to Arlington.

Sardines is an Italian Restaurant on University but they usually have a jazz band on the weekends. It’s a pretty cool spot to just chill out at.
Things to do with a 14 year old-
Buggers Lake- It’s a old fashioned swimming hole, it’s fed by a spring and it has diving boards, a dock in the middle, trapez, tubes, beach area, bbq’s ect… really fun
The Stockyards- catch the rodeo, shop, eat, they have a live cattle drive every day at 4 and 11am where cows walk through the streets, they also have a cowtown maze ya’ll could run through, take the trantula train ride (an old steam train will take you to grapevine), old timey photos…lots of fun stuff. Ya’ll could even go to Billy Bobs..they alow minors in before a certain time or after with a parent and it’s pretty cool to see.
The FW Science & History Museum- They have an AWESOME imax type theater called the Omni and there’s exhibits, planatarium, pretty cool. Also right in that area, there’s the botanic gardens, the cowgirl hall of fame, kimball art musume, Amon Carter museum, modern art museum.
There’s the Casa Maniana theater…which is really cool because it’s a round stage and all the audience sits around the stage. it’s a neat experience.
Downtown FW also has a bunch of cool shops, galleries, restaurants, movie theaters ect. theres street artist and vendors.
If you want to drive out the city a little, North Richland Hills has a laser tag place on Grapevine Hwy and right down the street is NRH2O water park…… Also Main Event in Grapevine would be a blast for ya’ll, it’s a HUGE arcade.
Then there’s the Palce of Wax & Ripleys in Grand Prarie along with Loan Star Park which has horse racing. I use to go with my parents and I always had fun watching the races.
Mrs. Bairds bakery and the US Tresuary printing are also Fort Worth and you could tour them.
Horse back riding along the Trinity River in FW.
Also you could go to the DFW flight Observation tower at the airport. It’s really cool and free.
There’s a teen club called Matrix in Hurst ? IDK anything about it though just have driven by.
You could also drive to Glen Rose and go canoe down the rivers, go to the dinosaur park, camp, swim, go to Fossile Rim park (a drive through park that has free roaming animals)….its a neat little town thats not too far away.
There’s a bunch of lakes, parks, festivals, and events always going on too. You could check out guidelive.com and they usually have event listings.
    Ya’ll have fun!
Just thought of something, theres a cool German Restaurant called Edlweiss in FW it’s themed and pretty fun also if you want to drive to Tyler, theres a lot to do but theres a zip line place a 14 year old would love that….
