“Yirumi sheet music?”
“Bella’s lullaby sheet music?”
IN THE CLASSICAL SECTION!?
Why?

Because if something is instrumental, that means it’s classical. Apparently.
We were on a campaign to politely – POLITELY – tell them that they were in the wrong place. You will still see some of us – Malcolm is particularly polite about this – say things like “Welcome to the Classical Music forum. Your question appears to be misplaced – please re-post it in the Popular Music section, where it may receive more responses.”
Sometimes, Yahoo *assigns* the category in which a question should be posted – errors occur that way, too. But I agree – after having taught music in the schools for over 30 years – that the world is full of idiots from places where there is clearly NO decent education going on, or they allow kids ot wear headphones in class! The *dumbing down* of society is NOWHERE as evident as it is here on Yahoo. Those of us with education and high standards are made to appear priggish and foolish – much like ignorant schoolyard bullies do in real life. I am accustomed to having to drill through concrete to impart education – but am becoming increasingly tired of this. At least I am on several INTELLIGENT groups – one of which is Yahoo Flutenet – and am one good snit away from leaving HERE forever.
Now – let’s wait for the Trolls and idiots to appear with the “Why are classical music people so snotty?” questions!
Because :
Anything from before 1940 = classical music
Anything that is not vocal = classical music
Anything that is ONLY piano = classical music
Sheet Music = Classical Music
Instrument = Classical Music
The above examples = ignorant peoples views of classical music
Because most of the questioners on these two particular subjects are prepubescent bimbos who don’t have as many brains between them as my cat has. It is a sad, sad reflection on the current state of education in the Western world
Because apparently once something is played on the piano, it immediately becomes classical music. Argh. I’d I agree with i.jones. I think it has picked up recently.
At least there is a classical section. I have stopped patronizing one local record store because they removed their classical section. Shame, as it was well stocked in its day.

They don’t have enough brains to figure out which type of music is which type.
